Lumara Home Care is a local, independent agency based in Paramus, about twenty minutes from most of Essex County. We are not a franchise. The same team that built our reputation in Bergen County now serves families in Montclair, Livingston, West Orange, and the towns around them.
We provide non-medical in-home care for seniors: companion care, personal care, memory support, and respite for family caregivers. Every care plan starts with a free in-home assessment, and care typically begins within 24 to 72 hours.

When a parent is coming home from Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, Mountainside Medical Center in Montclair, or Clara Maass Medical Center in Belleville, the first days home matter most. We can have a caregiver in place quickly, often before the discharge paperwork is finished.

Our office is in Paramus, in Bergen County, about twenty minutes from most of Essex County. Assessments and care always happen in your parent’s home, so the office location never gets in the way.
